Once again, Twitter beats every news source to the punch. But this time, the pieces were in place to suspect something was up—even before it was news.

Twitter continues to be 20 minutes ahead of breaking news. And although the news it provides isn’t always trustworthy…the sheer volume of information (and in this case—the uniqueness of the information) is astounding for something that didn’t exist six years ago.

People in Pakistan were Tweeting about the attack as it happened.
