After a halloweek or so off, the Sundog Spotlight is back! Today, we’re featuring the newest face in our Minneapolis office. It’s my pleasure to introduce the super sweet and funny: Heather.
Position at Sundog:
I’ve joined Sundog as an Experience Architect. I see my role as a conduit for collaboration between the client, system users, and technology. It’s my job to balance the needs, wants and constraints of each of these stakeholders and deliver both strategic and tactical direction for the user experience. I create maps, flow diagrams and wireframe drawings to illustrate and define content organization, site navigation and screen-level requirements. I expect to work closely with content strategists, graphic designers, and front-end developers to contribute jointly to the creation of great user experiences.
What brought you to Minneapolis:
I was born in Texas. My family moved to Minneapolis before I was one year old. But when I was in kindergarten, we moved to Moorhead—where I went to Riverside Elementary school through third grade. Then we moved back to the Minneapolis area—I’ve been here ever since (except for one year when I lived in Manhattan!) The best things about living in Minneapolis are my family and friends.
How do you get inspired:
I am inspired and motivated by listening to music. I like trip-hop and electronica. I like pop, and 90’s grunge. I think Florence + The Machine is a-mazing. My all time favorite bands are Pearl Jam and Massive Attack.
Currently obsessing over:
I am currently obsessing over hot yoga. I wish I had time for it every day!
Think you’re looking forward to:
I’m totally looking forward to the holidays. Christmas is the best with little kids! Just this morning, one of my boys asked if we could get out our Christmas decorations as soon as it snows…why not?
Thing you collect:
I collect broken dishes. One day I’m going to make a mosaic from my favorite pieces.
And, because sharing is caring:
“Do more than belong: participate. Do more than care: help. Do more than believe: practice. Do more than be fair: be kind. Do more than forgive: forget. Do more than dream: work.”~William Arthur Ward~
