Android Custom Views

As an Android developer, I am always looking into the new and different custom views that can be used.  It’s always tough to keep track of them, where they are, and what they are called.  It is also tough to keep track of all the new ones that come out.  It seems that you almost need to know what you are looking for to find new custom views.  This was the case for me until I found http://www.androidviews.net/.

Android Views is a website that was put together by a fellow Android developer that is just genuinely excited about sharing all the goodness that other developers have been working on with Android.  It is a great place to see new views that are coming out and give you the ability search and filter based on what you want to look for.  Most every view shown is open source and either has the library or source code available.

If you have your own custom view that you would like to share with others, feel free to check out the site and submit the view to have it added.  If you are just looking for a great way to spruce up your app with some great elements, check out the list of already submitted views.

  1. An outstanding share! I have just forwarded this onto a co-worker who was conducting a little research on
this. And he actually ordered me breakfast due to the fact that I found it
for him… lol. So let me reword this…. Thanks for the meal!
! But yeah, thanks for spending the time to discuss this
subject here on your web page.

  2. Hello there! Quick question that’s entirely off topic. Do you know how to make your site mobile friendly? My web site looks weird when viewing from my iphone4. I’m
trying to find a theme or plugin that might be able to resolve this issue.
If you have any recommendations, please share. Thank you!
