I was unable to attend 2012’s Google IO. Had I been there I would have been apart of all the Google Glass announcements and would have even had a chance to buy a registration for one of the developer units. Those people who were lucky enough to attend IO and were able to get in on the ground floor for receiving the development edition of Project Glass were treated with some good news earlier this week.
Google announced that they will be holding two hackathon sessions lasting for two days in San Francisco and New York. At these sessions developers will finally have the ability to see what Google Glass is all about. There will be Glass units provided for development and Google will be going through the Glass API
I don’t know about you but this gets me very excited to see what will come out of this hackathon and to see the technology behind Google Glass. If you are lucky enough to have the opportunity to go to one of these hackathons, please go and report back to us other developers all the cool things you learn about!
