Force.com and Amazon Integration

Salesforce recently launched their Force.com toolkit for Amazon users.
It makes it easier for users of Force.com to add Amazon S3 and EC2 storage to their Force.com Applications.

While it expands Salesforce’s market, it also makes it easier for developers to combine the power, logic and user interface of Force.com with the storage of Amazon.

“We are delighted to be working with salesforce.com to extend this new model for building and deploying applications to companies of all sizes around the world,” said Charlie Bell, Vice President, Amazon Web Services. “The new Force.com offering for Amazon Web Services will help even more businesses take advantage of the benefits of the cloud.”

“Cloud computing is not just the future of salesforce.com, it’s the future of the computing industry,” said Marc Benioff, chairman and CEO of salesforce.com.  “Amazon Web Services has been a true pioneer and leader in bringing cloud computing to developers and enterprises worldwide. We are delighted to be working with Amazon Web Services to accelerate this change, and bring its benefits to companies everywhere.”
“We’re excited to use Force.com and Amazon Web Services together to run our business in the cloud,” said John Johnson, Vice President of Licensing at ASCAP. “We’ve been able to leverage these cloud services to create new applications, including document management, that bring new efficiencies to our business.”
