Last week, Salesforce announced they had acquired ExactTarget. As a Marketing Strategist with a focus in social media at Sundog, I’m looking forward to seeing what changes the ExactTarget integration will bring to the Marketing Cloud.
With the addition of ExactTarget, we’ll begin to see the Marketing Cloud take shape and become a fully integrated marketing platform. Through listening, engaging, social advertising and email, these tools will allow companies to streamline their efforts more efficiently and effectively. Radian6, Buddy Media, Social.com and ExactTarget will also be able to help companies create a consistent workflow while pulling data and creating insights marketers can use to adjust the overall strategy.
